40s 30s 50s Cadillac Chrysler Dodge Ford SCTA Hollywood Flipper Hub Caps Vintage
Up for sale is a pair of vintage Hollywood hub caps. Stamped on the back of each one is: 3M. This style of hub cap is often referred to as the Hollywood Flipper.
They are universal, but were inspired by the hub caps used on 1934 Cadillacs. They came in different sizes. The outer diameter at the base on these hub caps measures approximately 12 across. They measure approximately 14 across if measured across the top dome with a soft tape measure.
On the underside, the inner diameter of the mounting hole measures approximately 7 1/4 across. Application: Again, these are universal, but came in different sizes, so please check the measurements on your car to make sure these will fit. Please do your own research. These are in good solid condition, but need to be replated for show quality. There are no dents or cracks.The first hub cap: is in good solid shape. There are no dents or dings.
There are some spots of surface finish loss, and surface finish bubbling. There are some spots of surface finish rust, where the surface finish has worn away, but no weakness in the metal. There is one spot of surface finish loss at the edge, where the surface feels a little rough, but again, no weakness in the metal.There are some light dings / bends along the inner mounting hole edge. The second hub cap: is in basically the same condition, except there are a few light dings along the top bar. Other than this, there are some spots of surface finish loss / bubbling and light surface rust where the surface finish has worn away. On the underside there are some light dings / bends along the inner mounting hole edge.
